Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing


The Portfolio Administrator is accountable for performing daily cash and monthly asset reconciliations of complex accounts as well as investigating and clearing all differences within prescribe timelines for CIBC Asset Management clients across Canada.

Your day-to-day routine will be to process activities and resolve complex settlement problems to enhance department efficiency and ensure high level of customer service is met.

You will process daily adjustments accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will investigate and solve more complex trades that have not settled on time and log all transactions that have failed within prescribed timelines for audit purposes.

You will ensure productivity standards are achieved and Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded. You will work with brokers and custodian banks to resolve trade settlement problems in a timely manner. You will maintain broker and custodian information accurately within the trading system and various other systems. You will follow all procedures and controls within the Operations team. You will work overtime hours when requested to support the business operations

How You'll Succeed- Analytical and Audit Capability - Analyze the cash balances to determine their accuracy of the different currencies in order to optimize the value of the portfolio.

Prepare and complete reports, client's financial statements and reconciliation activities for month end procedures within established timeframes to ensure accuracy of data and meet Service Level Agreements- Collaboration - Work closely with your team to provide an excellent client experience.

Ensure that your team's collective work meets quality standards, timelines and service level agreements.- Relationship Building - Listening, asking questions and understanding activities.

Deepen your relationship with business partners relying on your knowledge of their team to provide expert advice. Use your professional network to present challenges to management in a constructive and effective way

You have successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) (asset)- You can demonstrate experience in SS&C accounting system (asset).

You have good technical skills with Excel and Word- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and professional attitude- You're able to work from home primarily.

However, this may change dependent on business need.- You're fluent in French and English to serve our clients in the community.
