    The Industrial Engineer II will support the Manager, Industrial Engineering and Distribution Center Operations team in the pursuit of accurate, reliable, and repeatable process standards at the distribution center.

    The position will be responsible for timely measurement of functional performance, focus on quality and service throughout the DC by utilizing engineering techniques in the area of work layout, work measurement, and methods development.

    Responsible for providing all necessary engineering support to specific operations at the distribution center as well as assist management team on special projects.

    Network Planning, FP&A, MP&A, DC Operations, Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Retail Operations & Digital
    WMS, SCI, ODS, SQL, GTN, etc) to be able to mine data and perform analysis to provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities
    Intermediate knowledge of eliminating wastefulness in production processes and make sure systems make the best-integrated use of workers, machines, materials, information, and energy
    Intermediate knowledge in developing engineered production standards in partnership with DC Operations management and associates based on standard operating procedures to ensure they are fair and equitable as well as account for safety and accuracy
    Evaluates and supports new design layouts by completing throughput analysis and making recommendations for changes for DCs with mid-level of MHE automation
    Ensures there is tracking of key performance indicators to determine and validate the results and shares best practices with other DCs
    Provides enhanced technical support, material handling solutions, and training to associates to maximize productivity and control facility cost per unit utilizing the key performance indicators
    Consulted with analyzing processes to identify best practices, benchmarks distribution center against network performance, and ensures consistency against other network DCs through partnership with Distribution Excellence team
    Identifies opportunities for cost savings/productivity gains and assist with implementation
    Supports network wide initiatives and partners with the operations team to execute the implementation
    Leads in the implementation of new business initiatives by assisting initiative owner with data collection and analysis
    Education – Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline; Master's degree preferred in equivalent field of study
    Skills – Strong MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Access experience; Proficient in SQL and/or Autocad
    Experience with project management in a fast paced environment, working on multiple, large scale projects at a time
    Strong background in work measurement programs such as Labor Management and Engineering Labor Standards desired; Adept at MHE specification including power equipment, conveyor systems, rack systems, sortation systems and various picking methodologies
    Ability to take business forecasts and translate into a facility design
    Strong communications skills with other internal team members, including ability to present to middle and senior management to drive decision making
