    About the Opportunity

    Become an integral part of our dynamic origination team in our Toronto office. Working closely with the Managing Director - Ontario, the successful candidate will leverage our team's extensive market knowledge and experience to swiftly navigate and underwrite complex lending opportunities. Their contributions will directly impact our developer clients by providing them with exceptional service and support through the lending process.

    In supporting the origination, evaluation, negotiation, documentation, and closing of mortgage investment opportunities, the Analyst will be essential to our commercial loan origination process.

    Their responsibilities will include:

    • Preparing thorough financial analyses, underwriting models, and investment presentations for consideration by the Board of Directors and investment committees of various investment platforms, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment.
    • Conducting comprehensive due diligence on mortgages and investments, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
    • Fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners through effective communication and exceptional customer service, solidifying our reputation as a trusted industry leader.
    • Staying abreast of market trends and developments in the GTA and Ontario real estate markets, providing valuable insights and contributing to informed decision-making.

    About You

    • Completion of a University degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or Real Estate.
    • 1-2 years of experience in the real estate industry, preferably with a nonbank lender, financial institution or real estate developer.
    • Detailed knowledge of the GTA and its various municipalities.
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen, coupled with a passion for real estate and finance.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Effective presentation, communication (verbal, written), and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and solve complex problems.
    • Highly motivated, proactive, and team-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
