2023 SUMMER HIRING

Parks - Summer Student
Parks Recreation and Property Management Department

Applications must be received no later than Friday February 17, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

The City of St. Thomas hires Post-Secondary students for the summer season to assist with the maintenance of parkland throughout St. Thomas.

Qualified applicants must have attended the previous school year full time and will be returning to the next school term full time. Proof MAY be required.
Education and/or experience with maintenance of baseball/sports fields and horticulture is considered an asset.
All Parks students must have a valid Ontario Driver's license with a minimum class G2.

Students working for the Parks Division will complete:

horticulture maintenance

- turf maintenance
- sports field maintenance
- park facility maintenance
- other duties as assigned

THE WORK WEEK INCLUDES:

40 hours

- weekends, evenings, and early morning schedules
- shifts covering seven days per week

Remuneration:
$17.30 per hour.

Expected Start date:
May 1, 2023
