2023 SUMMER HIRING

Parks - Summer Student
Parks Recreation and Property Management Department

Applications must be received no later than Friday February 17, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

The City of St. Thomas hires Post-Secondary students for the summer season to assist with the maintenance of parkland throughout St. Thomas.

  • Qualified applicants must have attended the previous school year full time and will be returning to the next school term full time. Proof MAY be required.
  • Education and/or experience with maintenance of baseball/sports fields and horticulture is considered an asset.
  • All Parks students must have a valid Ontario Driver's license with a minimum class G2.

Students working for the Parks Division will complete:

  • horticulture maintenance
- turf maintenance
- sports field maintenance
- park facility maintenance
- other duties as assigned


THE WORK WEEK INCLUDES:


  • 40 hours
- weekends, evenings, and early morning schedules
- shifts covering seven days per week


Remuneration:
$17.30 per hour.


Expected Start date:
May 1, 2023
