Become a connected Data Center Operations Manager**The Manager, Data Center Operations (DCM) is a critical operational role managing the day-to-day operation of our data center(s). The DCM is responsible for leading a team of data center technicians, ensuring all tasks associated with the onboarding of new, or support of existing customers is completed in a safe and efficient manner. Quality control is key, and uptime is paramount.

Your contribution

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage Local Data Center and Operations team(s)

  • Responsible for timely execution of data center services, such as remote hands, customer installations and service requests
  • Manage technical and operational incidents at the facility, including the development and implementation of emergency response procedures, resource coordination, customer communication, rootcause analysis, and post event remediation.
  • Execute all aspects of data center operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 data center operation to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
  • Technical event management including postevent root cause analysis and infrastructure remediation
  • Building Management System operations for monitoring and automation
  • Track operational metrics and other data to provide Senior Management oversight and control for both snapshot data and longterm trend analysis for identification of local risks.
Manages all Local Customer Installations

  • Delivery of data center services including colocation, connectivity, raised floor services and deployment
  • Installation and management of all cable and network infrastructure supporting facility and customer connectivity
  • Act as primary technical and operational contact for data center customers: both as the technical lead and local point of escalation during emergency events and daytoday operations.
  • Support presales process, including, but not limited to, conducting sales tours, RFI and RFP responses
Responsible for Operational Budgets and Vendor Relationships and will Participate & Support Audit & Compliance Programs Working


Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities._ _The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidents.

The profile we are looking for
Experience

  • 10 years' experience managing or leading data center operations teams in mission critical environments.
  • Proficient experience in colocation operations, including the installation and deployment of cage, rack and cable infrastructure, power circuit installation and power monitoring.
  • Working experience in capacity planning, facility forecasting and performance metrics
  • Trouble ticketing systems, purchase order management, CAPEX and OPEX budgeting
Education/Certification/Designation

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preference given to Engineering and Computer Science Degrees)
  • Industry certifications, such as: 309A, 313A, ITIL, UTI, DCCA, etc.
