Role Summary:


The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for assisting in operating an effective and efficient supply chain function for the organization and its affiliates.

Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, the Supply Chain Analyst will help to look after supply chain processes, inventory management and reporting, and will ensure effective controls are in place, supporting corporate strategy and business operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Creates and maintains material master data in ERP and quality management software, including pricing, leadtime, etc.
  • Helps maintain an approved vendor list, identifies essential suppliers/vendors for assessment, and sets up vendors in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and/or other quality management platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve Supply Chain discrepancies between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicating Supply Chain related issues and notifications to cross functional teams.
  • Creating and maintaining Supply Chain reports as assigned.
  • Prepares and amends purchasing transaction documents (purchase orders, requisitions, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Maintains open communication with vendors regarding buying opportunities, order status, delays/shortages, and delivery of goods and services.
  • Manages shipment related issues with vendors and customs brokers.
  • Assists, investigates and resolves purchase order, invoice, and receiving variances.
  • Responds to queries from vendors and internal business operations.
  • Aids in ensuring adherence to corporate procurement policies, including requests for proposals, conflict of interest, and signing authorities.
  • Assists with the design and implementation of process and controls over vendor relationships, purchases, and inventory management.
  • Supports the implementation of the strategic sourcing of goods and services in the execution of business strategies and operations.
  • Manages and validates to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) a systematic process, including both paperbased and electronic solutions to support biotechnologybased material, consumable and reagent supply and inventory forecasting, as instructed.
  • Reviews and analyzes purchasing data, trends, and budget vs. actual results.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in sciences, finance or business administration.
  • 35 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Past experience in a customer service role (i.e. retail, restaurant etc.).
  • Able to process a high volume of transactions with speed and accuracy.
  • Experience in initiating and managing vendor relationships.
  • High degree of professionalism, with sense of urgency and dedicated internal customer service abilities.
  • Highly attentive to detail with strong clerical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a team environment; multitask and shift priorities, as necessary.
