As a Security Consultant II, you will focus on supporting TELUS Security, including vulnerability assessments and security testing activities for a wide variety of TELUS services.

This is a vital role for you to contribute to the success of the TELUS Security Program as you help to enable critical security controls, protect key products and assets from threats and vulnerabilities, and provide thought leadership on opportunities to strengthen the overall security posture for the organization.

You will also be a respected leader collaborating with key partners and stakeholders, both within CIS and beyond, to ensure alignment with our strategic Cloud Security Program, as well as supporting Security by Design reviews, facilitating Security Audits, completing Risk Assessments, and enabling organizational-wide Security Risk Registration process.

As the Subject Matter Expert on all information security issues, you will manage risks effectively to mitigate potential impacts to TELUS
You will communicate identified security vulnerabilities to the business and facilitate their resolution in order to maintain the security and privacy of our Customers
As an Advocate on behalf of TELUS Security, you will engage stakeholders to articulate strategic security initiatives and opportunities in order to secure the appropriate alignment, commitment, and support
As a Trusted Advisor and Partner to the Business and Technology leaders, you will implement and maintain security policy, standards and procedures
As a Detail-Oriented Professional, you will provide comprehensive reports of key metrics on TELUS Security programs' statuses
As a Seasoned consultant you will Conduct security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments

Qualifications:

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

4+ years of experience in Information Security/ Information Technology industry
Bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Security
1+ years of experience with Vulnerability Assessment and Security Testing Tools : Rapid7 Nexpose/InsightVM/Insight AppSec, Burp Suite Pro/Enterprise, Veracode
Exceptional problem solving, risk management and negotiation skills, both as a leader and as a contributor
Flexible and able to quickly pivot focus as required in order to fulfill immediate business needs
Experience with common scripting languages, databases and data analytics and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)

Great-to-haves

Knowledge and experience operating within Cloud computing platforms such as GCP and AWS
ITIL knowledge or certification
Experience with Managed Security Payment Card Industry (PCI)
Knowledge of information security technology, audit & control measures, monitoring/investigation methodologies and privacy/regulatory/criminal legislation
Experience with SOAR automation platforms such as Palo Alto XSOAR
Bilingual (French)
