Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of operations experience (preference for refining experience) A business, engineering, or comparable university degree Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of apps (Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, Forms, Lists, etc.) Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail Ability to work with significant quantities of complex input and synthesize this to key conclusions and recommendations Ability to create impactful visual representations of analytic insights geared to business needs to build narratives with data that are engaging and actionable Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset Proven ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sites to develop, maintain and improve the documented assumptions that inform the Business Plan
- Track and maintain Lost Opportunity Value (LOV) data and extract learnings and common themes
- Design, build and maintain complex reports in advanced analytical tools to provide visibility to historical and realtime process information, to support longterm strategic decision making
- Build narratives with data that are engaging and actionable
- Highlight and communicate business trends, opportunities and risks as they develop
- Create and maintain AI forecasting models for goal planning and metrics tracking
- Develop templates and presentation models for Business Plan activities
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Calgary head office located in the Suncor Energy Centre th Ave SW) OR based at one of our 3 Canadian Refineries in Edmonton (801 Petroleum Way), Sarnia (1900 St. Clair Parkway), or Montreal Sherbrooke Street East)
- Hours of work are a regular 40hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
