Job Function:

The Digital Specialist is responsible for bringing Libro's brand to life online by ensuring purpose and value proposition are embedded in all Libro's digital services.

They possess a passion for user experience and a deep understanding of websites and web strategy.

This position manages moderately-complex projects for Libro's digital services from conception to completion focused on improving Libro's digital Owner experience while ensuring timely execution and cost effectiveness, aligned with Libro's strategic objectives and operational requirements.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Digital Banking Manager to develop and execute the digital banking framework and roadmap to achieve goals for driving growth, fulfilling purpose, enhancing the Owner experience and supporting a rich culture
  • Manage and lead assigned projects from conception to completion for Libro's target segments using design thinking methodology to maintain an Ownercentric focus that supports business goals
  • Ensure projects are executed smoothly and completed on time and on budget managing the change management of all effected stakeholders
  • Collaborate within the Brand department and across departments with Information Systems, Risk and Advice & Service Delivery to ensure a strong crossfunctional team approach
  • Manage the evolution, experience and maintenance of Libro's Online Owner Onboarding platform
  • Collaborate with UX/Design and IS teams to translate business requirements into best in class digital Owner experiences
  • Lead crossfunctional meetings with various stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong and trusted working relationships with staff and business partners across the organization
  • Support fielding and prioritizing Owner feedback from staff and Owners generally focused on enhancements to existing digital functionality
  • Provide timely recommendations to improve overall digital performance for assigned initiatives based on predefined digital KPIs
  • Act as key Brand contact and coordinator for all digital projectbased activities and functions
  • Support delivery teams with communication and execution of projects
  • Provide backup support for the Digital Banking Manager and User Experience Designer
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes for the position of Digital Specialist


Education & Experience:


  • A Degree or Diploma with a specialization in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management or a related field
  • Training in design thinking/humancentered design methodology
  • Experience of 35 years in a related field
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining digital strategies to meet organizational objectives
  • Experience in the implementation of web and mobile capabilities
  • Proven project management experience
  • Experience in a digital agency or fintech setting leading online or mobile based initiatives would be an asset

Requirements:


  • Capable of understanding technology concepts and adapting our approach to take advantage of new and innovative ways to get results
  • Able to relay technical jargon into business language including understanding and explaining customer/Owner impact
  • Strong understanding of segmentation and how to design digital services to target specific audiences
  • High level of intellectual curiosity who is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong influencing skills sufficient to shape the decisionmaking process
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to set priorities within tight timelines
  • Strategic agility with proven implementation skills
  • Strong collaborator; someone that welcomes feedback and team problemsolving
  • Ability to partner and work closely with internal and external business partners to assess and recommend plans of action
  • Familiarity with digital analytics, datadriven channel optimization and usability testing
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to provide insightdriven direction to a variety of stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of webbased technologies such as HTML and CSS
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, strong attention to detail and focus on quality of execution
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of payments and the payment system is an asset
  • Solid understanding of Libro's products and services and overall business model
  • Actively participate in achieving team goals and targets with an emphasis on teamwork and building strong alliances with staff and Owners of Libro Credit Union.
  • Promote the use of, and commitment to innovation/design thinking and continuous improvement; demonstrates a lean champion mindset.
