Description
BGC St. Alban's Club, Weston Mount-Dennis and Jane and Finch locations are hiring for music producers/audio engineers to join our team.The music production team will be responsible for working at the various studio locations with community youth to mentor and help develop their music projects.
Responsibilities:
- Working with youth to produce, record and develop their music
- Mentoring in music production, audio engineering, songwriting
- Operating multiple DAWs (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
- Attend meetings with the music production team to develop ideas and materials
- Attend to any studio related administrative tasks
- Lead or help lead occasional workshops or challenges and attend occasional club events
- Being a positive member of the community
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education or equivalent experience in music production or audio engineering
- Understanding and confidence operating audio hardware, microphones and musical instruments
- Confident working in a DAW environment
- Experience producing music, particularly hiphop, rap and electronic
- Experience working with songwriting/lyrics is an asset
- Experience with youth, as a youth leader or instructor is an asset
- Education and mentorship experience is an asset
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (or be willing to obtain)
- Submit or agree to a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
