- Work with the Project Manager and Stakeholders to perform field measurements and verification of existing equipment as well as construction as needed to support design work.
- Verify specifications with Stakeholders. Review drawings.
- Work with the Project Manager and Engineer to develop labour, equipment, material estimates and construction sequence to facilitate development of project schedules and budgets.
- Provide input based on experience to Project Managers to ensure front end planning is comprehensive and ensure realistic expectations for construction timelines are being set.
- Collaborate on advance planning of shutdown related projects to coordinate efforts and resources with operations.
- Work with the Project Manager and purchasing to support the tender process by assisting with bid meetings and bid clarifications.
- Assist with purchase requisition writing.
- With the Project Manager and Safety Specialist review contractor documentation (PSMP, vehicle inspections, etc.) prior to arrival on site and approve safety plans and procedures.
- For work performed by Mosaic capital crew provide logistic support to ensure materials are sourced, sequenced, offloaded and staged appropriately.
- Act as the Capital liaison for contractors in the field.
- Conducts routine site visits and safety audits on projects in construction phase.
- Act as direct supervision for contractors and the Mosaic Capital Crew when necessary.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyperson designation. Mechanical, fitter, or welder preferred.
- 5-8 years of construction or related experience.
- Proficiency with standard office related software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project as well as Maximo, Ariba, Fieldglass.
- Requires strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and on a team.
- Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.

We are currently seeking a Capital Planner Coordinator at our Esterhazy K1 location. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and Stakeholders through the planning, procurement, contractor mobilization, construction and commissioning phases of capital projects. The Capital Planner Coordinator serves as the Mosaic liaison for contractors regarding field coordination and implementation of safety programs.
