$65,480 to $81,849 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)

Who we are:

Responsible for supporting and coordinating operational initiatives and activities for all sections within the Housing Services Division.


Assist in coordinating activities, compiling data, conducting research and preparing standard reports supporting directives established by the Divisional Management Team (DMT) to ensure all services are delivered effectively and efficiently for the various sections.


What you will do in this role:

  • Responsible for a range of operational activities and coordinates operational business planning and performance initiatives.
  • Supports the Division's operational business planning and performance measurement and reporting processes.
  • Assists the Supervisor and Specialist in executing the Divisions operational objectives and organizes implementation plans.
  • Prepares standard correspondence, reports, letters and other documentation necessary to deliver on initiatives established and to provide status updates to Housing Divisional Managers.
  • Documents policies and procedures to assist in the delivery of the Housing Division's operations.
  • Coordinates administration needs for the various sectional requirements and acts as a liasion with internal partners as appropriate e.g., Purchasing, Finance, Property Services, etc.
  • Coordinates program support, research, analysis, and financial impact initiatives.
  • Compiles, inputs and maintains data as directed to prepare and update reports such as operational metrics from various sections, ministry reporting etc.
  • Identifies and escalates deviations from plans, processes and other procedures and proposes recommendations and adjustments to Supervisor and Specialist for change.
  • Assists with the creation or execution of any internal or external surveys (including requests for information), and helps facilitate responses to various stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the Housing Operations Team, act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely communications.
  • Coordinates, attends and assists with the facilitation of any site meetings.
  • Seeks direction and decisions, in a timely manner, on any issues that impedes the completion of any assignments.
  • Gathers and documents stakeholder feedback and changes to any operational materials
  • Initiates and follows up on actions and completes outlined tasks independently or as part of a team.
  • Receives, reviews, and actions internal and external inquires as appropriate.
  • Regularly maintains any central electronic documentation repositories in accordance with Regional document control standards.
  • Assists internal or community partners to ensure activities are carried out, materials are received, and payments are made.
  • Prepares and participates in meetings, produces meeting minutes and follow up with the relevant individuals for action items or issues.
  • Conducts research to support the development of policies, processes, procedures.
  • May be involved in executing operational recommendations and actions that will influence continuous improvement of Housing's Divisional programs and services
  • Other relevant duties as required.

What the role requires:


  • General college diploma in business management, human services, or related fields with at least 3 years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Knowledge of the Housing Services Act, Residential Tenancies Act is an asset
  • Knowledge of Housing programs and services, operational processes, policies, procedures and other resource supports in Human Services is an asset
  • Motivated, capable of learning new skills and responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a changing environment, effectively managing priorities, demands and timelines
