The Manger, International Business (IB) Sales Practices & Controls; contributes to the overall success of IB Internal Controls ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Specifically, the incumbent supports the governance of the IB Sales Conduct Program, including definition and establishment of guidelines, procedures, and management controls, aligned to the Enterprise framework within International Banking.


The incumbent supports and coordinates interdisciplinary working teams to identify divisional systemic issues related to sales practices and defines with stakeholder's action plans to reduce or mitigate sales practices risks.


Accountabilities:


  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Responsible and active participant in the development, documentation, and communication of the IB Sales Practices Management Program, including divisional policies and procedures in alignment with the Enterprise Sales Conduct Framework.
  • Supports the creation of materials related to Sales Practices, prepares program status updates and reporting for IB Senior Management, IB and Enterprise Risk Culture and Conduct Risk Steering Committee and IB Compliance and Operational Risk Committee
  • Analyzes Conduct Risk KRIs from different business lines and countries to identify potential themes and identifies with related stakeholder's potential issues and action plans to address these trends
  • Supports the development of tools for Internal Control to consolidate and analyze conduct risk indicators leveraging Power BI and other data mining and visualization software. Ensures metrics are communicated to local Internal Control teams for their review and analysis
  • Manage the issues related to Conduct Risk from testing reviews, audits or selfassessments and monitors the advances of action plans until closure. Identifies potential common themes to propose Divisional action plans.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Education and Experience:


  • University degree in Business is required
  • Over 5 years of financial services and management experience required
  • Comprehensive Financial knowledge of Sales principles and practices
  • Excellent ability to evaluate options/alternatives and develop solutions/recommendations for solutions to complex and multidimensional problems/issues
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills (both English and Spanish)
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and project management skills to support change processes
  • Ability to see situations and issues from multiple points of view
  • Collaborative decisionmaking skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Good understanding and awareness of strategic and tactical business planning and executional issues/processes
  • Strong understanding of the designated business units both from a business and organizational perspective
  • Indepth understanding of the interactions within groups to create buyin for specific agendas
