    As the Controller | General Manager, you will be a key member of the finance department, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of accounting and company operations.

    You will provide critical insights, analysis, and guidance to support strategic decision-making, while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of corporate financial data.


    Accounting Responsibilities:
    Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
    Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
    Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    Perform variance analysis and provide insights to drive cost control and profitability.
    Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.
    Manage and develop a team of finance staff.

    Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; manage a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

    ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards.
    Recommend benchmarks to measure the company's performance.
    Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract review.
    Work with external auditors and provide required information for the annual audit.
    Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal government requirements.

    Month end entries, financial statements, bank reconciliation, accounts payable postings and payments, sales entries, cash receipts, quarterly GST and insurance renewals.


    Annual audit:
    prepare audit package and year-end adjusting entries.

    Oversee the operations of the sales team, banking requirements and accounting department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.

    Manage office staff duties and responsibilities.
    Oversee training programs and identify training needs.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
    A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, financial and/or business services capacity.
    Proven understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
    Solid cash flow management experience.
    Proficient in financial software and tax preparation systems.
    Proficient in MS Office Suite.
    Downtown Vancouver location.
