Nature and Scope

United Gulf Developments is a Halifax-based company responsible for the planning, construction & development of projects ranging from subdivisions & commercial plazas to high-rise mixed-use developments with residential, commercial, and retail tenants, to traditional apartments.

We are currently hiring an
AC and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities
- install new air conditioning systems according to specifications and building codes

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters checking refrigerant levels and inspecting electrical components.
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning AC units including identifying and replacing faulty parts
Respond to service calls in a timely manner and troubleshoot issues effectively
Keep accurate record of work performed and maintenance schedules

- provide excellent customer service, communicating with clients and reporting to the property manager
- stay up to date on industry codes, standards and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

-
Red seal certification in air conditioning is a MUST
:

- proven experience as an AC and refrigeration technician for a minimum of 3 years
- strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- ability to maintain and repair other appliances such as fridges, stoves, dishwashers and microwaves
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals
- excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract is a must
- own vehicle and tools preferred
