Operations Manager _will report_directly to the Director, Operations, and is responsible for management of costeffective operations including warehouse & distribution; facilities and customer service/sales support aspects in the branch environment._
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the branch's physical layout and facilities.
- Control branch inventory as per applicable Company procedures.
- Control all physical product into and out of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, stock replenishment, recharge, damaged products and used batteries.
- Oversee effective sales and service support, which includes partnering with the Sales Team to resolve customer issues and taking escalated and / or more complex customer concerns
- Develop and maintain the team by providing effective communication, training, coaching, and conducting effective performance evaluations
- Ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment at all times.
- Track and provide appropriate management reporting (key performance indicators).
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- Postsecondary education in a business or customer servicerelated discipline.
- 3 to 6 years related experience preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- 3 to 5 years management experience.
- Solid knowledge of logistics and distribution.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are selfmotivated to meet performance standards.
- Customer focused with the ability to coach others for exceptional customer service orientation.
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Windows Office suite (Word, Excel)
- Experience with SAP an asset
