Job Title:
Safety Compliance Officer

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures that comply with all state and federal regulations.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective actions.
Conduct driver training and ensure that all drivers are properly licensed and trained.
Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers.
Maintain accurate and uptodate records related to safety compliance and incident reporting.
Keep abreast of changes in state and federal regulations related to safety compliance.
Communicate with all levels of staff and management to promote a culture of safety throughout the company.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in safety compliance, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to transportation safety, including FMCSA regulations.
Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with safety management software preferred.

Salary:
$19.99-$24.50 per hour
