Service BC is government's chief provider of services to B.C. residents and businesses.

In support of the division's overarching goal of providing residents and businesses with seamless, multi-service access to government programs, the Division's service offerings are marketed to partner ministries and the broader public sector to expand our continuum of services and leverage common platforms.


THE BRANCH


The Procurement Management Office (PMO) is a team within Service BC responsible for the program management of multiple project components to strategically modernize Service BC services and leverage digital tools to enhance cross-sector coordination.

This office will lead the transformation of the strategic service modernization program and establish sourcing options for Service BC. The PMO also provides contracting and procurement support to the division. It ensures contracts are viable and comply with the strategic vision, government policy and legislation.


The Procurement and Contract Specialist Lead is responsible to plan, procure, develop, monitor and evaluate the utilization and effectiveness of PMO procurements and contracts.


Job Requirements:


  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Procurement and Contract Management, Risk Management, Law or a related discipline.
  • Recent (within 5 years) related work experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management and/or supply chain management.
  • Experience with public sector procurement and contract management within the BC Public Service.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Information Management and Information Technology services.
  • Experience providing consultation to various clients or stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check, and/or Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) check, and/or enhanced security screening checks as required by the ministry (Note: It is important that you read the job posting carefully to understand the specific security screening requirements pertaining to the position).
  • Additional education or experience in the area of business administration, and/or those who have completed course work in accounting, finance, audit, procurement, project management and/or organizational behaviour.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Experience with public sector procurement and contract management within the BC Public Service.
