- Participation and deliverance of site safety improvement plans
- Governance of incident investigations for site
- Review safety trends and come up with proactive strategies to mitigate incidents
- Ensure safety team members are a visible presence in the field
- Prepare material for quarterly supervisor development meetings
- Attend group (corporate) meetings as required
- Prepare safety reports for distribution to site and group
- Work on and provide feedback for yearly department budgeting activities
- Keep current on ministry regulations that affect training requirements
- Provide support to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee
About you
As the Senior Advisor, Safety you will have a certificate or Diploma in Health and Safety or similar.
It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:- A Valid Class G Driver's License & access to a reliable vehicle
- First Aid Certification
- 5 years' experience supervising and managing employees or 10+ experience working in the mining industry, including 3 years in a training role
- Excellent report-writing and documentation skills
- Solid understanding of INX computer system
- Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants

About the role
The Senior Advisor, Safety role offers an exceptional opportunity to participate in accident investigations, produce and distribute appropriate documentation. You will be responsible and accountable for supervising safety employees and ensuring that safety programs and projects are delivered according to Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation standards.
The position will be on a 5/2 - 4/ hour day) roaster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario with NO FIFO eligibility. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.
