Located out of our Fort McMurray office, the individual in the Operations Technician role will report to the Senior Operations Technician.

The Operations Technician will be responsible for area site checks and pipeline pigging operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Class 5 driver's license required; a class 1 Drivers license would be an asset.
A Pipeline Operators Certificate and/or previous pigging experience would be an asset

Experience:

Experience in Oil and Gas industry or Pipeline Operations

Skills:

Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office skills. Maximo, SAP and Enablon experience would be an asset

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Conduct regular/frequent site visits to areas that have been assigned and complete all operator area checks.
Ensure work orders for assigned areas are being completed and creating new work orders for corrective maintenance activities.
Assist trades in the repair of equipment.
Perform pipeline pigging in your assigned area and assist others as required.
Maintain assets in a safe, reliable operating condition.
Maintain housekeeping at sites.
Participate in oncall rotation.
Perform snow clearing at site utilizing a skid steer/plow truck.
