POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is set up, start up and the operation of Tetra Pak filling equipment. Includes caser/stacker area
- ensuring case supply to caser equipment and conveyers are properly working. Also includes downstream equipment, such as straw applicator.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Follow operation manual to operate machinery
  • Daily and weekly care of equipment
  • Check quality of products including materials and finished goods
  • Prepare all packaging materials for filler.
  • Set up the filler according to the operation manual.
  • Do all testing/checks while setting up the machine.
  • Communicate with pasteurizing area and start running the filler.
  • Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals, and weights.
  • Regular cleaning of associated work area and CIP equipment operated after production
  • Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Grade 12 education
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
  • Forklift Licensed preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge would be an asset
  • Must be a person who can multitask and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
  • A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
  • Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
  • Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
