Program Managers to oversee the administrative, fiscal, and clinical activities of the health care provided to injured workers throughout the province.
  • As a Program Manager, you'll work alongside a team of health care professionals with varying backgrounds who oversee the delivery of physical and mental health services for workers throughout the province. We leverage our strong, collaborative relationships with health care providers across B.C. to ensure our customers in our Claims and Rehabilitation Services department have the tools they need to get injured workers recovered, healthy, and back to work.

You'll ensure we offer effective and evidence-based access to programs and services to help people recover when they've been injured at work.


Where you'll work

  • At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally onsite at our Richmond office. Please note that occasional travel throughout the province is a requirement and applicants must have a valid B.C. driver's license.

What you'll do

  • Manage, maintain, and monitor the clinical quality and financial performance for a network of external providers to ensure the effective delivery of high quality, clientfocused service
  • To achieve the above, you'll liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in health care programs and services, research current literature and evidenced based practice, and implement effective solutions including the design and procurement of contracted networks of health care providers
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff as well as to internal and external health and rehabilitation clinicians

  • Communicate clearly and concisely explain, present, and summarize information verbally and in writing

Your background and experience

  • A degree in a health care related field such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, counselling, or other area of healthcare; a clinical background in mental health or knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment options is an asset for one of the two positions
  • Active registration with your profession's regulatory college and/or association
  • A minimum of five years of health care management experience that includes two years of recent, seniorlevel experience overseeing the administration of health care delivery
  • We'll consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
