Description

Success requires the ability to provide:

  • Clear work breakdown structures and deliverables to the team
  • Plans and track against baseline schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Timely communication of scope changes and impacts
  • Risk analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Project summaries and highlevel status reports
  • Guidance to help the team prioritize activities and deliver on time

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Create a work breakdown structure with clear deliverables for each task
  • Collaborate with the core team to define schedules, budgets and resources that then become baselines
  • Track the baselines to identify variances on a weekly basis
  • Identify mitigation strategies to get back on track
  • Submit change requests if the project is unable to resolve variances
  • Communicate issues within a 2week window using the consolidated department issues list
  • Interface with customers, participate in meetings and clearly communicate program needs internally and externally
  • Organize work on as needed basis and provide guidance to the team
  • Prepare clear, concise program status reports with appropriate detail to broad stakeholder groups, including executive management, extended project team, functional managers and customer
  • Use critical thinking to make effective decisions to move the project team forward with consideration of risk assessment and tradeoff analyses

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in product development and management of projects requiring custom design and build of fuel cell stacks and systems
  • Experience in managing multidiscipline projects and JIRA expertise are assets
  • Ability to interface and work cooperatively across the organization
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to shift priorities as needed and make effective decisions
  • Highly motivated, solutionoriented and willing to learn
