  • In this role, you will:_
  • Provide Technical Writing support to the VISSC program by:
  • Supporting written content with visual elements. Design effective visual information including the textual, spatial, and graphic elements that support the rhetorical situation to maximize communication impact through assessing and redesigning online and print elements.
  • Producing large publications that focus on visual layout and emphasize automatic formatting features that create structured documents.
  • Creating different kinds of online and print documents such as engineering reports, business reports, proposals, formal letters, etc.
  • Provide Technical Editing support to the VISSC program by:
  • Coordinating the production of all VISSC program documents such as deliverables (including detailed study reports, etc.), proposals, and letters.
  • Provide Document Management support to the VISSC program by:
  • Carrying out document and records management (electronic filing and archiving) including control of electronic document and drawing files.
  • Registering and capturing documents in the document management systems including Babcock, Client, or any relevant Subcontractors documentation.
  • Allocating Babcock and Client document numbering systems.
  • Ensuring all deliverables required for handover to the Client are stored during the project or interim delivery at agreed stages.
  • Issuing of controlled documentation as required on projects.
  • Circulating documents for review, information, and acceptance, etc.
  • Reviewing document formats and adherence to checking and approval processes for signatures.
  • Supporting the development of good practise processes and instructions, and evaluation and redesign of applicable processes for increased efficiency and improved results.
  • Maintaining a central repository of model technical documents, update databases, and contribute to the continuous improvement and consistency of communications resources.
  • Supporting the Document Control and PMO shared inboxes.
  • Provide daily/weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Complete other duties as necessary.
  • A Technical Writing program certificate from an accredited college or university program. Further, you possess a Technical (preferred) diploma or degree and 13 years' experience. Equivalent professional experience/combined education, along with specialized training commensurate with the role will be considered.
  • Experience with authoring tools (i.e. Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.) in the creation of online and print documents.
  • Fluency in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
