Position Overview
ProCura Real Estate Services is searching for a Building Operator.

The successful Building Operator carries out all repair and maintenance duties at the highest level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail, and ensures the delivery of a first-class building environment to all tenants.

On call requirements will be asked of you on a sharing rotational basis.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily property checks ensuring the property is maintained in a firstclass manner.
5+ years of experience in building maintenance
Overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Ensure fire life safety systems are operating effectively and to code.
Identify and rectify any general maintenance issues including painting, housekeeping items such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling and pressure washing to maintain curb appeal of the properties.
Respond to tenant service requests in timely manner.
Liaise with tenants and contractors to maintain relationships
Engage with third party contractors and obtain quotes in compliance with procurement practices and annual budget preparation.
Coordinate contractor access and ensure all deficiencies are rectified.
Assist with seasonal building requirements.
Basic plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, roofing, carpentry, and miscellaneous repairs on site or overseeing of such unscheduled repairs, as necessary.
Communicate and execute work procedures as set out by management.
Participate in oncall rotation and be available to work afterhours, weekends for any site emergencies and/or unscheduled work.
Demonstrate maintenance and repair skills
Previous experience operation a BMS system a must
Other assigned duties as required.
Travel between properties as required.

Qualifications

5+ years experience plus previous relevant work experience.
5th Class Power Engineering Certification
Responsible and selfmotivated team player who has the ability to allocate their time effectively, manage tight deadlines and the ability to work under pressure
Experience in residential multiunit mid/high rise considered an asset.
Proven knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, emergency systems and fire and life safety
Ability to prioritize and schedule all work to meet deadlines
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
Access to reliable transportation for frequent travel and must have Class 5 driver's license
