Our Edmonton location is seeking an experienced Tank Farm/ Quality Assurance Supervisor to support our diverse operations. This full-time position requires flexible availability, 7 days per week.


Main Functions:


Responsibilities:


  • Fuel to Tank Farm, Truck to Truck, and Truck to Tank Farm transfers and daily farm checks.
  • Coordinate trucks daily, coordinate and observe checks on trucks for damage/maintenance issues.
  • Investigate, coordinate and/or implement corrective actions related to quality control findings and observations for trucks and tank farm.
  • Coordinate checks on hoses, strainers, couplers.
  • Coordinate the completion of FSII pump rate testing, combustibility tests and ESD checks.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance ensuring cleanliness of tank farm, buildings and grounds within fenced area, and painting blocks, stairways and piping when needed.
  • Drain trucks to tanks for filter replacements as required.
  • Ensure supply inventories and safety equipment are maintained, monitored, tested and readily available, including fire extinguishers, Stormceptor and spill kits.
  • Recording and reporting all tests required for weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks as per requirements.
  • Dip slop tank, road gas tanks, and road gas inventory reporting.
  • Refuel and marshal aircraft and provide ground handling support as needed.
  • Coordinate spill drum deliveries, vacuum truck, and maintenance with Manager.
  • Build quality relationships with customers advising them of new services.
  • Strive to minimize staff turnover and to keep team headcount at acceptable levels, share successes and foster an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Communicate changes in policy, procedures, products, services, or any other alterations that affect delivery of customer care.
  • Monitor staff attendance and performance, and report issues to Management.
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff members in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Effectively schedule manpower for assigned department.
  • Complete timesheet approvals for assigned staff on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service through compliance.
  • Comply with, participate in and promote the Company's Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum three years of aviation fueling experience is required.
  • Valid class 1 or 3 with air brakes required. (No GDL permitted)
  • Airport Security Clearance and Driver's Abstract are required as a condition of employment.
  • First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
  • The ability to work inclement weather, overtime, stat holidays, and extended shifts is required.
  • Must lift or move up to 60 lbs. as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work with mínimal or no supervision.
