- Repair, overhaul, and replace defective parts of production machinery, including conveyors, fillers, tube fillers, packaging equipment, mixers, and DC controls.
- Maintain and support plant systems and infrastructure.
- Set up machines, provide technical guidance to operators, and document maintenance records and procedures.
- Ensure all machines and equipment are in safe working condition.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially during lockout/tagout procedures.
- Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance and pursue continuous improvement.
- Establish relationships with vendors, requisition parts and materials, and coordinate vendor support as needed.
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, install machinery and equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Equipment: mixing and blending tanks, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, PLCs, conveyors, and packaging machinery
- Union: Teamsters Local 1979
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Must have the skills and experience necessary to work safely, both independently and collaboratively
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with an innovative approach to solving mechanical issues
- Very strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Ability to design, fabricate, and weld machine components
- Eager to learn and willing to train others
- Self-motivated with basic computer skills, including proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Trade certification is an asset
- Team player who works well with colleagues
- Salary Range: $36-$40/h
