    Description

    Position: Industrial Mechanic Millwright

    Location: Toronto, ON

    Salary: $38.90 per hour + Shift premium

    Industry: Manufacturing / Food / Retail

    Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent

    Shift: 4-day / 10-Hour Shifts

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components used in company and packaging departments, such as flow wrappers and metal detectors.
    • Familiarity with various shop tools, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, drilling machines, and welding equipment.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, and efficient equipment setup.
    • Ability to make major and minor adjustments to equipment promptly.
    • Performing all maintenance activities on plant equipment safely, ensuring cleanliness and optimal functionality, and adhering to GMP standards.
    • Enhancing equipment/systems, exploring and evaluating new equipment, maintaining detailed maintenance records, and ensuring accessibility of all relevant information.
    • Completing and submitting necessary reports.
    • Handling both corrective and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment.
    • Implementing equipment/system improvements, researching and testing new equipment, and maintaining maintenance records.
    • Being the first responder and verifier in emergency situations.
    • Additional related duties as directed and assigned by the Supervisor and Manager.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical work, including setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
    • Preferably holding a valid Industrial skilled trades license (Millwright) from Ontario or any Canadian province, though not obligatory.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude.
    • Able to work a 4-day / 10-hour shift.
    • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
