Classification Summary - Union

An Equipment Operator I operates and maintains mobile and handheld equipment of limited

complexity according to proper competency standard, safety practices and regulations.
Performs manual work.
Duties - Union

Operates equipment and vehicles including singleaxle trucks, small machinery and parks implements (e.g. field line painters, aerators, stump grinders, jackhammers, small tractors and mowers) and a variety of hand and power tools.
Performs routine inspections, maintenance, minor repairs and lubrication of equipment. Refers equipment for mechanical repair and services as required.
Removes and disposes of debris and hazardous waste materials found when performing general duties.
Responds to routine public enquiries; maintains written records of work performed.
Performs manual labour work.
