Reporting to the Superintendent, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing coordination and support to various aspects of operations to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of the installation of underground utility infrastructure.

This position will support our Aecon Construction Services Inc. team in Delta, British Columbia.


What You'll Do Here:


  • Provide the Superintendent with data and project analysis.
  • Assist in generating comprehensive schedules in a variety of formats and details to satisfy different user requirements.
  • Liaise with customers to support scheduling activities and install timelines.
  • Performs site previews and inspections as required in preparation for locate requests.
  • Develop and maintain a operational schedule as required by the Superintendent.
  • Meets utility owners on site, as required, to assist in accurate and timely locates.
  • Assists in inventory management and related systems development.
  • Coordinates / procures specialty materials / tooling.
  • Ensures / tracks that quality and frequency of safety inspection / reporting is following Aecon Health & Safety and Environmental Manual.
  • Queries, analyzes, and reports on data from various systems to assist in operational efficiency.
  • Generates reports, as necessary, as required by major customers.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • College Graduate
  • Civil / Construction Technologist / Technician or related is an asset
  • 13 years of relevant experience in project coordination, estimating, or related is an asset.
  • Experience or a keen interest in planning and scheduling projects.
  • Sound computer skills extensive use of Microsoft Excel is an asset.
  • Technically savvy and enjoys working with new software/technologies.
  • Experience working with Adobe/Bluebeam would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in the utility construction industry an asset.
  • Strong communication skills oral and written.
  • Selfmotivated with good organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with others for the overall success of the team.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
