- Oversee the day-to-day operations of KM Civil Consultants at the Edmonton office; including staff and client management, budgets and schedules and reporting.
- Participate in the development and management of production and service quality standards for KM Civil Consultants Ltd.
- Prepare civil engineering designs for a variety of municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Complete detailed stormwater management, sanitary conveyance and plumbing, and water distribution design calculations.
- Coordinate with clients, outside consultants, and municipalities during the design and approval process as well as during construction.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines both within the Krahn Group of Companies and with outside consultants.
- Recruit, mentor and manage the performance of KM Civil Consultants Ltd. at the Edmonton location.
- Responsible to achieve 600,000 CDN Dollars in project fees per annum and per office within the designated territory; other specific targets will be set with the President & CEO.
- Be an active member on approved boards and associations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals and deliver results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software, CAD software, and other relevant technical tools.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and environmental sustainability in engineering practices.
