- Controls expenditures on projects. Prepares and updates engineering control documents.
- Monitors design changes and contract extras.
- Reviews, analyzes, and resolves field construction problems/discrepancies.
- interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision.

- Engineering degree in specific discipline with 5-7 years experience or Tech diploma with 6-8 years related experience.
- Related construction experience with a contractor; heavy civil, civil works, mechanical, and electrical.
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project, Blue Beam.
- Experience with chambers, structural work, valves, and subcontract management.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.

DESCRIPTION
The Field Engineer, EIT is responsible for planning, scheduling, and estimating design engineering effort on a small project or a portion of a larger project. The Field Engineer, EIT supports the execution of complex tasks in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a collaborative and supportive environment for team members. This position will be based in Coquitlam, BC.
