The Sales Manager, Business Development develops strategically viable and well-planned sales opportunities with a target set of accounts/customers.
This is an enterprise sales position, so a Business Development Manager with 5 years of technology sales in public transit or transportation would make the perfect addition to the team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales:
- Build strongly embedded customer relationships resulting in specific account plans that drive expanded sales by meeting our client's current/future needs.
- Hold Sales Representative duties
- Manage complex sales cycles and navigate large transit authority/government organizations, procurements, and processes.
- Create and lead the sales strategy, leveraging the broader sales team to ideate and execute on plans.
- Focus on valuebased and consultative selling and position the core differentiators of our business in a way that clearly demonstrates value to our customers.
- Identifies support intensive areas and develops mitigation plans to improve.
- Manage a team of Sales Representatives
- Developing employee skills and performance through training and coaching
- Hiring, training, and developing new employees to meet organizational needs
- Providing feedback on an employee's performance, helping to develop an employee's skills where needed, and addressing performance problems
- Proposal response and strategy are key elements of the daytoday tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in business administration, and/ or computer or electrical engineering
- Accomplished highenergy salesperson with expertise in technology, government and/or public transit sales with at least seven years of experience.
- Focused on driving revenue growth by developing new opportunities and creating demand in existing accounts.
- A proven track record that demonstrates the ability to sell into C level management.
- Uses knowledge to influence, teach, and motivate others towards accomplishing a common goal.
- Expert knowledge of complex product selling.
- Ability to logically communicate technical information and ideas so others will understand.
- Ability to successfully work and promote client's environment and requirements internally within crossfunctional groups.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships and ability to use interpretative skills to understand and relate to industry/client requirements are essential.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, selfmotivated, organized and innovative.
- Proven ability to deliver contracted revenues meeting targets.
- Sales experience in a technology related business is a must.
- Experience working in large complex selling environments.
