Opportunity

MacEwan University seeks a Desktop Technician III to join our IT Client Services department for a 4-month term position.

This full-time continuing position is 35 hours/week from June 3rd – October 4th, 2024. Due to the nature of the work, this position is onsite.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage and image PC and Apple computer systems using SCCM and JAMF.

Test and build recommendations for the university hardware standards.

Working with vendors for escalation and support systems and applications.

Install, configure, and maintain PC and Apple computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.

Collaborate with other ITS team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Document support activities, solutions, and procedures in the knowledge base.

Supporting academic lab environments and project support.

Skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.

Qualifications

A minimum of a diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Previous experience in a desktop support role is required.

IT Certifications (Net+, A+, MSCE or Apple) are considered an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
