- Design and maintenance of high voltage power grid to ensure safety regulations and production demands are met.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to provide technical expertise for various projects underground as it pertains to electrical and instrumentation requirements including: design, drafting, cost analysis, etc
- Work with the Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities. Ensure solutions are based on sound engineering practices and most economical design
- Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
- Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and safety leadership to site personnel
- P. ENG designation and eligibility to register in Saskatchewan
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience preferably in the mining industry
- High Voltage experience and knowledge
- Experience with ETAP software
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Microstation is considered an asset
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safe work practices.
- Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Effective troubleshooting skills - analytical, critical thinking and problem solving.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments and individuals (internal and external)
