This position is funded through the brokered contract from Saskatchewan Health Authority and will be based on the instructor need for the contract. Two instructors will be hired based on the instructor need for the contract.

Job Duties
The lab and clinical portions of the perioperative nursing program provides hands on training that builds on the online theory portion of the program. During the lab and clinical the instructor will follow ORNAC standards, the SaskPolytech perioperative nursing curriculum, and health region policies.

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for this contract, the following conditions are required:
A degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
Advanced certificate in Perioperative Nursing from SaskPolytech or another recognized institution;
Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant experience in operating room nursing;
Experience being a preceptor for perioperative nursing students or mentoring new operating room nurses (preferred);
Experience and education in the teaching of adults (preferred)**Desired QSA
