Role The Transformation West Midlands Project is a collaboration between Newman University, University of Birmingham and University College Birmingham. The project works with L6 students and recent graduates to remove barriers to support them in accessing post graduate study or their first graduate job.

The purpose of this role is to represent My Community My Career - Transformation West Midlands in a professional capacity and engage with L6 students and recent graduates to gain feedback on the impact of the of the project.

2.To support with student engagement for all activities within My Community My Career
3.Be responsible for gaining student feedback
4.Be the student champion for the project at UCB
5.Be responsible for using and creating social media content as a means of influencing and informing
6.To be able to create and send out effective marketing campaigns to promote opportunities and the project
7.To Supporting all aspects of the project
8.To be responsible for accurate record keeping and updating databases
9.To effectively communicate and liaises with stakeholders such as Guild, Academic and Support Staff and Student Committees
10.To effectively promote opportunities using the appropriate resources (notice boards\/posters\/UCB Online).
11.To ensure practice is in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations.
12.To commit to upholding the principles of Safeguarding and the PREVENT agenda.
13.To undertake such other duties as commensurate with the nature of the post.
14.To develop and maintain relationships with Businesses.
15.To coordinate summer internships as part of the project.
•Current Level 6 BA or BSc undergraduate or recent graduate in the last two years
•Knowledge of the local West Midlands region in regards to labour market and graduate barriers
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Customer service and interpersonal skills
•Experience of working with underrepresented student or community groups
•Experience with filming and editing content to share online.
•A proven history of using online communication platforms and social media to engage with people form a wide range of backgrounds
•Comfortable with analysing the impact of a communication strategy and evidencing how many people it reached
•Enthusiasm and commitment to representing Transformation West Midlands Project to the best of your ability
•Knowledge of the variety of the opportunities available to students through the Transformation West Midlands Project
•A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to work with a wide range of people
•The ability to work confidently and independently whilst also being able to work well as part of a team
•The ability to work under pressure
•Excellent ICT skills, a familiarity with the Microsoft Professional Package
•A commitment to equality and diversity Remote (Work from home) until return to campus. •Student Engagement Officer will be asked to attend a full training session and sign a code of conduct agreement before being able to work.
