We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Occupational Therapist to join Newton Home Health.
Build on your education and experience as you: •Provide occupational therapy services to referred clients through assessment, consultation and interventions that promote functional independence and occupational performance. •Determine the appropriate use of recognized occupational therapy assessment tools (e.g. neurobehavioral cognitive exams, ADL/IADL assessment, swallowing/dysphagia assessment) and conducts appropriate assessments. •Collaborate with client/family/caregiver and other health professionals to formulate goals; develops, implements and evaluates care plan; discharges client when appropriate. •Provide input to the Manager, Home Health on the purchase of supplies, equipment and repairs of equipment required for Occupational Therapy programs. To join the organization we require you to have:
    •Current practising registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) •Two (2) years'' recent related clinical experience with persons with mental and physical handicaps in a long term care facility and/or a community setting •Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes
