Responsibilities: Manage the preparation and Analysis of the external financial reporting Ensure that the company is adhering to new IFRS standards specifically IFRS 17 Oversee the consolidations of multiple entities Manage the MD&A quarterly Manage the monthly reconciliation process in the GL and complete the required regulatory reporting Direct management and development of Director level staff Oversee all complex accounting issues as related to external financial reporting
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have AVP or Director level experience in financial reporting within the Insurance industry OR be coming from Big 4 Public accounting at the Senior Manager level with a focus on Insurance clients CPA designated is required You must have a strong technical accounting background with experience in IFRS Must have strong critical thinking skills Must have 5 plus years experience Managing a team
