Job OpeningWorking out of AEPONYX Bromont office in the Collaborative Center for MiQro Innovation (C2Mi) in the Eastern Townships, the successful candidate will work closely with the test development team and the test facility lead to transfer, install and execute the in-line and final electro-optical tests of our products. The candidate will mainly work in our Bromont office but will also have to travel to other facilities (Montreal), as well as to customers’ offices in the U.S. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesTransfer test procedures to the test lab in Bromont.Specify, procure and install Test instrumentation and related hardware.Plan and optimize floor space usage. Specify, design and procure/outsource the fabrication of test fixtures.Design and implement test instrumentation automation and remote control.Design and enforce calibration procedures.Contribute to application-specific test development, write associated documentation.Issue test plan templates and enforce standardization of tests.Generate test documentation, including reports.Plan and support reliability testing of assembled parts or sub-assemblies.Outsource and coordinate long-term reliability testing to pertinent facilities. Collaborate with our assembly/packaging partners from C2Mi. Any other task associated with a start-up environment. Education and Work Experience RequirementsElectrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Computer Engineering degree with specialization in electronics or optoelectronics.RF/Optical package, module testing and good laboratory practicesProgramming skills (Python).Proficiency in Electrical Simulation and CAD software(s) (SPICE, Solidworks).Industry standard qualification and reliability requirements (MIL-Spec, Telcordia).Knowledge of electrical or electronics layout and design is an asset. The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering degree with multi-year relevant experience in a product/test development environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of French is an asset. Because the position involves potential traveling to our customer’s office, the candidate must hold a valid passport and have no limitations or restrictions to enter the United States.
