JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising Coordinator is a fundraising professional responsible for supporting the execution, processing, documenting, and communication related to workplace campaigns.
Under the supervision of the Director, Corporate Relations the Fundraising Coordinator, Workplace Campaigns is a fund-raising role responsible for supporting accounts campaigns and developing targeted relationships with workplace volunteers within the United Way workplace campaign structure.
This includes working with staff and volunteers to carry out campaign fundraising events and initiatives to meet United Way's Corporate Relations goals and objectives.
This position is intended to provide operational and logistics support to Campaign Managers ensuring a volunteer and donors centric experience to our Key Partner accounts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibility Area:
Fundraising
- Strengthen and maintain relationships at workplace campaigns
- Participates in the development of local campaign plans and assists in implementing the campaign
- Tracks and monitors activities, engagement and results from workplace campaigns ensuring accurate, uptodate information is maintained in the CRM database
- Services workplace campaigns with marketing materials, promotional equipment (e.g. mascot, aprons, banners, etc.)
- Processes donations and other transactions through Donor Services Department
- Hosts, facilitates special events in collaboration or supervising events volunteers
Key Responsibility Area:
Volunteer Support & Leadership
- Engage and motivate workplace volunteer to be ambassadors for United Way BC
- Provides information, fundraising ideas, and support on planning and coordination of workplace campaigns to Campaign Volunteers
- Take leadership role as needed at community and workplace special events
Key Responsibility Area:
Campaign Associates
- Collaborates with Campaign Associates to ensure seamless workplace campaigns.
General
- Participates as a member of the staff team in regular departmental and interdepartmental activities. Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Twoyear diploma in an applicable discipline
Experience:
- Two years direct charity fundraising. An equivalent level of sales, marketing and/or management experience may be considered.
- Experience working with volunteers at various levels throughout the community.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience, acceptable to the employer, will be considered
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated skills supporting multiple events and multitasking
- Ability to support others, to coordinate the work of volunteers, and to followup to ensure events are successful
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion in donor and volunteer interactions
- Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, be responsive and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability in CRM data capturing and transaction processing
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Additional languages are an asset
- Ability to represent the department and organization in a professional, competent manner that helps steward and enhance relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be comfortable reporting to and working with leadership and other teams remotely
- Occasional hours outside of business hours to attend meetings and events, including evenings and weekends
- A hybridremote working environment with the ability to be in the Burnaby office 3 days per week.
- Requires a driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs., or comfortable asking for help lifting items
