Description
The Financial Analyst will examine financial data and predict future financial trends.

The main responsibilities will include consolidating and analyzing financial data, compiling the annual plan and quarterly forecasts, and making recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.

In this role you will work closely with the Senior Accountant and report to the Director of Finance.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Consolidating and analyzing financial data (plans, forecasts, income statement, etc.) considering the company's goals and financial standing
  • Preparing monthly financial reporting packages
  • Preparing and maintaining annual plans and quarterly forecasts
  • Collecting, compiling, verifying, and analyzing financial information so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions
  • Tracking and determining financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts and plans.
  • Monitoring and projecting data for the Senior Manager of Finance, including cash flow, revenues, expenses, costs, and profits
  • Developing, managing, analyzing, and maintaining various reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Assembling and summarizing data to structure reports on financial status and risks
  • Identifying trends and recommending solutions to the Senior Manager Finance and/or senior management
  • Completing special projects, as assigned

Qualifications required:


  • Undergraduate Degree in business, finance, or accounting,
  • At least 24 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Strong data collection and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working towards or recently completed the CPA accounting designation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products specifically with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Experience using Power BI would be an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics-Business Central/ Adaptive Planning Software is an asset
  • Healthcare and/or Government industry experience is preferred
