Health Services - Long-Term Care

Contract, Full-Time; Duration: 18 Months

Salary Range:
Band 8, $94,424 - $118,028

Hours of Work:35 hours per week


Who We Are:

The PIE team is made up of multi-disciplinary professionals responsible for ensuring effective business operations, continuous quality improvement and centralized program and policy support for the five (5) Long Term Care Homes.

What

You Will Do In This Role:

_** Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias- Perform all supervisory activities for assigned staff, such as the hiring of new staff, performance appraisals, training and development plans, and performance management- Provide guidance and ensure adherence to applicable legislations, policies, and standards.

- Manage directly and/or through staff and complete life cycle of projects with strategic or operational impact for division, including project budget, project documentation and leadership and guidance for project team members- Through staff, manage Division's annual resident satisifcation review including developing and implementing survey tools, communcation strategies and data/reporting- Oversee the development of administrative and program policies and procedures, including ongoing monitoring to ensure policies remain current and consistent across all LTC operations, and maximizing use of electronic information systems- Through staff, manage Division's cross home contracts, including all aspects of the procurement process, ongoing management of vendor performance, issues resolution, contract budget management, and contract renewal requirements, in conjunction with the Purchasing Division's designated LTC Analyst Provide professional consultation to the LTC operations for specialized dietitian services, including development of standardized menus, recommendations related to evidence based practice, and development of operational protocols for nutrition and dietetics

Bonafide Job Requirements:
_


  • Completed University degree in Health Sciences or Business Administration
  • Five years of working experience within Long-Term Care (LTC) environment
  • Three years of relevant leadership experience
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered
  • Thorough knowledge of the health care system, MOLTC standards, guidelines and requirements of LTC industry
  • Experience managing and evaluating the full cycle of contracts

Skills/Abilities:


  • Analytical mindset with strong skills in problem solving and evidencebased decision making
  • Polished communicator with experience facilitating training sessions
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build and sustain effective working relationships

Assets:


  • Regulated Health Profession Designation
  • Experienced with budget management
  • Working knowledge of performance measurement and quality improvement initiatives, such as Accreditation

Work Mode:In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the
10 Peel Centre Dr, Brampton,ON_ _worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
