Position Summary:


The Manager, HR Transformation provides strategic leadership expertise in the multi-year transformation journey of the HR department to support an exceptional employee and client experience and deliver on HR's commitment to continuous improvement.

The Manager will identify process improvement opportunities and develop project plans for implementation.

The Manager fosters and leads a continuous process improvement mindset across HR, leveraging strategies to ensure optimal utilization of all resources.

The Manager leads programs and projects using innovative, agile and project management tools and techniques in the strategic development, change management and implementation of organizational initiatives to ensure successful implementation of a transformation agenda while realizing impact.

This role will be critical in identifying new HR Strategic initiatives to help Seneca truly be market-leading and always stay ahead of the curve.


Responsibilities:


Strategic HR Transformation

  • Identifies strategic initiatives to improve the overall function of the HR department from a people, process, and technology lens.
  • Leverages external benchmarks, research, and comparator organization data to identify new opportunities for continuous improvement at Seneca.
  • Collaboratively with the Manager, HR, Technology, assesses the HR technology landscape and identifies opportunities to enhance the overall user experience within the current HRIS system.
  • Establishes governance structures (especially during transformation projects) that enable successful collaboration and help eliminate silos.
  • Identifies and designs SLA metrics for measuring the operational effectiveness and optimization of the Seneca employee experience.
  • Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and innovation that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Project Management and Strategic Change Oversight

  • Develops and oversees the implementation of large scale, enterprise projects, and transformation initiatives.
  • Leads programs and projects using innovative, agile and project management tools and techniques in the strategic development, change management and implementation of HR initiatives to ensure the realize intended impact.
  • Acts as an incubation area for any strategic initiatives within the HR department leveraging a projectbased approach.
  • Collaborates with program sponsors and stakeholders and facilitates discussions to set service vision, principles, values, and success criteria, as well as people and clientcentric outcomes.

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Leads the review to evaluate and measure effectiveness of programs and conducts environmental scans to continuously improve and ensure alignment to broader Human Resources (HR) strategies, mandate, and values.
  • Determines areas of opportunity and develops innovative solutions, recommendations, and proposals to project deliverables and outcomes. Employs continuous improvement techniques and methods.
  • Seeks out opportunities to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Human Resource Management

  • Manages and supervises staff, assigns, and prioritizes tasks, establishes goals, sets expectations, and evaluates performance.
  • Provides clarity of roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in order to enable staff to manage their areas of responsibility and provides staff with development opportunities.

Qualifications:


Education

  • A minimum four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in a related field of knowledge.
  • A Master's Degree is an asset.
  • PROSCI Change Management Certification is an asset.

Experience

  • Experience in overseeing similar transformations is an asset.

Skills

  • Knowledge/expertise in IT systems, technology, enterprise software and user experience.
  • Experience with Project Management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to connect with senior leaders to create alignment in
