Hours:17.5 hr/week


Wage:
$23.10/hour; as per the collective agreement


Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd.

is hiring a
Part Time Youth Care Worker to supervise court ordered access visit between children and families as requested by the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD).

The main duty of this role is to ensure the child's physical and emotional safety during the visit in an unobtrusive manner.


You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Human Services, or other related discipline
  • At least One (1) years' direct experience working with at risk youth or equivalent education, training and experience
  • Must have knowledge of community resources for the region
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's licence
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
