As part of the Product Engineering Center of Excellence, the Delivery Performance Engineering Lead will partner with the Product Engineering Center of excellence team to plan, identify and implement the Performance Engineering efficiency improvement initiatives and tools, maturing disciplines leveraging synergies across the teams in alignment with Enterprise Applications service goals.

The role will be accountable for building, maintaining, evolving the practice's capabilities, and advising the practitioners on their work to ensure solutions are successfully working.


What You'll Do
Supports the development performance engineering strategies and strategic priorities by:

  • Shape the performance engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap focussed on building the right products and building the products right
  • Drive key decisions and initiatives based on performance metrics, standards/processes/practices, and collaborates and shares good engineering practices an onboarding of performance measurement tools
  • Assess existing and new tools to identify optimum solutions to measure KPIs pertaining to efficiency, quality, compliance, and program health
  • Drive innovation & automation in all facets of performance measurement and improvement
  • Partner, collaborate and build relationships with teams, sponsors, and internal customers to proactively identify and support transformational initiatives
  • Develop, manage operational processes, maintain interactive delivery playbooks and training material for reference. Ensure the processes tie into technology delivery practices, standards
  • Tactical execution of various efficiency improvement initiatives maturing performance disciplines, governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Experience in managing change for initiatives related to performance metrics rollout
  • Ensure effective planning and support coordination with partners (e.g., digital, storetech etc.)
  • Counsel IT and business partners, raise awareness by standardizing the process, tools used, automation and best practices across the teams
  • Manage documentation creation, review, signoff (e.g., strategies, plans, dashboards, processes), ensure artifacts adhere to standards and requirements

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a software development environment with demonstrated ownership of delivery strategy and orchestrating overall execution for solution delivery and performance improvement for 4+ years
  • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Strong experience in dashboarding, working on performance KPIs deriving insights to develop strategies
  • Experience in mentoring teams and drive issues related to Performance measurement through various tools (ex. Jira, Power BI, Tableau, Confluence) to manage demand, capacity, and delivery execution
  • Strength in setting strategy and direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business partners to establish and execute on common goals
  • Experience implementing, and maturing process improvements
  • Ability to direct the development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and IT processes appropriate to quality delivery development and stewardship
  • SAFe certification is preferred.
