Over your 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, you've learned to treat buildings with care and their tenants with even greater dedication.

What will you do?
Simply put, you will be responsible for maintenance and building operations.

Below are some of the primary responsibilities that entails; we'll discuss the others in person:


  • Be familiar with all aspects of the building operations including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc. and ensure all equipment and systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner and are in compliance with all applicable government codes & regulations;
  • Conduct inspections on all site mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and related equipment including roof top units, air conditioners, etc. on daily/weekly/monthly basis and complete appropriate record logs in order to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order;
  • Conduct regular interior, exterior and roof inspections of properties for damage and report back any deficiencies to Property Management;
  • Ensure exterior Signage, lighting, Masonry, Curb appeal is in good working condition;
  • Maintain a list of up to date and accurate emergency contact information and regularly review the procedures for life safety, emergency response and the fire safety plan;
  • Monitor building security system, fire alarm panel and sprinkler system regularly for proper operation and report any discrepancies to Property Management;
  • Conduct weekly vacancy inspections and report back any issues, recommendations to Property Management;
  • Maintain company vehicle on a weekly basis and ensure that maintenance services are up to date;
  • Respond and assist with seasonal building requirements, including snow clearing, Landscaping etc.
  • Respond to after hour calls and or emergencies;
  • Ensure service contracts are enforced, service levels are achieved, and contractors are adequately supervised when on site;
  • Ensure all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss;
  • Comply with company policies and procedures at all times and ensure building standards and efficiencies are maintained;
  • Conduct appropriately at all times and present an acceptable appearance while on site performing the duties of the position;
  • Perform and complete all assigned duties & responsibilities with minimum supervision as per agreed schedules;

  • Must be good with heights;
  • Climbing exterior/interior roof access ladders;
  • A combination of walking, standing, and sitting;
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs;
  • Bending, twisting, crouching, and reaching;

What type of experience do you have?

  • You've gained your experience in a commercial/office/industrial environment
  • You know how to drive and have a license to prove it
  • You are familiar with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures;
  • Your computer and communications skills are above par
