As a key member of the School of Justice & Community Development, you will play a pivotal role by demonstrating teaching excellence through proven adaptability with diverse learners, and the creation of a learning environment that motivates and engages learners, using a variety of teaching methodologies and types of delivery.

Fleming College's Paralegal and Law Clerk programs are heavily integrated.

Both programs will provide the student with extensive education and training necessary for opportunities in the legal field in both the private and public sector.

Our Paralegal program has been accredited by the Law Society of Ontario and prepares students to succeed in careers with government agencies, legal clinics, administrative tribunals, and law / paralegal firms.

Our Law Clerk program prepares students for successful careers as law clerk, legal assistants, executive assistants, legal/litigation secretaries, or legal technicians in a legal setting.

This position has been designated as on-campus and is expected on-site 100% of the time.

What We Are Looking For:


In addition to relevant post-secondary education required to be a Paralegal or Lawyer in Ontario, you must also be a licensed member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.


You have a minimum of one (1) year of recent, relevant legal representation experience within the past five (5) years, including client file management, and representing clients across a broad area of law including courts and/or tribunals.


In addition, your skills and experience include:

  • A minimum of one (1) year teaching experience in a post secondary setting using a variety of methodologies including traditional, online, and blended learning opportunities, or hold a teaching degree, diploma or certificate from an accredited institution
  • The ability to engage and understand all elements of core accredited program courses to support students in achieving core competencies as required by the Law Society of Ontario
  • Ability to draw on your experience and contacts within the legal environment to provide exceptional learning experiences to both paralegal and law clerk students
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with adult education principles and the identification of learning outcomes
  • Selfmotivation, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and in a teambased environment
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problemsolving abilities, that demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning while fostering relationships and connections while providing accessible, superior service to students
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Salary Range
As per the part-time, partial load or sessional salary grid.
