This position is responsible for leading the sales development efforts for the Calgary office which include:

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities
  • Coordinating business generating activities in the Calgary division and with other divisions
  • Developing customized targeted sales strategies
  • Market intelligent gathering, prospecting and opportunity/lead generation
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Collaborating with leadership and project management team to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Proposal development and driving the contract award
  • Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process
  • Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short and longterm business development plans
  • Managing all sales related aspects for existing key clients, developing new opportunities and client relationships with the goal of exceeding quarterly and yearly win targets
  • An emphasis will be placed on meeting sales targets for the office

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Diploma / Degree in related field
  • Experience in consulting engineering or geomatics industry preferred
  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience in Alberta
  • Formal sales training an asset
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to call, connect, and interact with potential clients
  • Persuasive and goal oriented
  • Energetic outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with client and executives
  • Excellent team player
  • Previous proposal development experience
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
