Job Summary:

Responsible for the oversight of daily shipping operations, coordinating and directing the activities of the warehouse and ensuring all inventory is accurately received, shipped and inventoried.

This role will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.


Required Education/Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in inventory management and logistics management control
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical diploma in a relevant field is preferred

Responsibilities:


  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate workers' activities to ensure optimal shift logistics
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production requirements and maintain accuracy through cycle counts, control systems and accurate forecasting
  • Scheduling and tracking on time delivery and customer satisfaction; ensure preemptive communication to Customers for any/all issues that may impact ontime delivery
  • Ensures compliance to existing work instructions; facilitates continuous improvement initiatives & takes the lead on new program implementations
  • Meet regularly with team members collectively to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, tracking performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes
  • Build weekly forecasts by Customers; publish weekly to the Supply Chain Manager & Management Team
  • Ensures that all company internal processes and procedures are followed including incoming inventory process and outgoing inventory process
  • Assist Production department and other departments/functions with investigation of inventory discrepancies. Identify root cause for inaccuracies and suggest solutions for improvement.
  • Possess excellent listening/communication abilities to lead improvement processes within various areas and levels of the organization
  • Perform required SAP entries related to warehouse inventory including issuing purchase orders and managing open orders
  • Analyzes freight costs and actively sees method for cost savings
  • Responsible for TMS load reconciliation, managing trailer maintenance costs and prepares shipping documentation such as delivery slips and customs documentation
  • Ensures all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • All other duties as assigned
